October 2017 recap

Happy Halloween everyone!  This is my first October, so I can’t show a year-over-year summary yet, but overall not a bad month. Time is really flying by lately, and with all of the kids’ activities this month has been a blur. Hope everyone is enjoying their time as much as I am.

Overall, a solid month. This is my weakest period in my dividend cycle, but there were also some great raises. Both OHI and IRM gave me a pay raise.

There is something really awesome about getting paid to do nothing. But you know what is even better than that? Getting an almost 7% raise to continue doing nothing. Imagine if your boss came to you and said, “You have done nothing and you are doing nothing so well that we want to give you a promotion. Keep doing nothing, and keep up the good work!”

Lucky for us, we don’t have to imagine that. It all in a days work for dividend investor.
